THE INTERNATIONAL DANCE EXCHANGE PROGRAM (TIDE), is a global exchange program for dance artists. We are committed to connect dancers of the world through their dance education guided by the leadership and knowledge of master teachers worldwide. Our network consists of dedicated volunteers and host families, residing in 5 world regions.
We are designated by the International Dance Organization (IDO) as an official dance exchange program to promote the education of dance and fostering friendships worldwide.
International Manager: Oversee the general operation of the exchange program. They will solve any problems and answer any questions from the Directors. The International Manager will appoint Regional Managers.
Regional Manager: Identify and work with countries from within their region and appoint a National Director to promote this program to dancers in each of the countries in their region.
National Director: Promote and seek out studios/clubs within their country that would like to be involved in the IDE program. If it's up to the Regional and National Director to determine the eligibility of the studio/club program applying and whether they are of the world standard that is expected. This position can be awarded to an IDO NMO, or another appointed person from that country to be the National Director of this program. They will also assist in the selection of host families from local dancers.
Host Families: Host families will volunteer room and board, as well as ground transportation, to the international dance student in their care. We strive to have host families who will have family the same age as the dancer. Host families will only be approved after they have been vetted, including a vulnerable sector check and references are verified.
